The ensembled wanted an elegant, elevated, and modern look to their brand image and logo.
Inspired by the first musical piece the group worked on, String Quartet in G minor by French impressionist composer Claude Debussy, the group decide to name their ensemble after the painter Paul Cézanne, a fellow impressionist artist.
During the logo creation process, I experiment with several different mediums (fountain / brush / calligaphic) and found that the brush pen provided the stroke thickness that I was looking for.

Inspired by Paul Cezanne's impressionistic painting style, the group wanted to incorporate a similar style into their album art. The one painting they that became a staple to their moodboard is Cezanne's "The house and the Tree" of 1894.
