Growing up, I was always drawn to creating things and experimenting with different mediums. From the day I learned how to pick-up a pencil, I always loved to draw and bring my imagination to life. All my coloring books would be filled and well-worn with a mixture of marker, crayon, and color pencil. I'd even make hand-drawn and colored greeting cards with 'Have a Great Day" on the front for my dearest friends.
When I was around 7, I'd check out drawing books from my school library to learn how to draw realistic animals. I'd experiment with water color and always looked forward to my art classes at school. As an avid reader of comics and manga, I would even write my own stories and create my own manga. It was probably around the same time when I started using Microsoft Paint—on my Windows 95 PC that had no access to dial-up internet—to create digital masterpieces (sarcasm intended) to bring my imagination to fruition.
A couple of years later at the age of 9, my brother introduced me to Adobe Photoshop 6.0. I became fascinated with learning the tools and effects Photoshop had to offer (it was definitely a level-up from Paint). It was then when a small flame of passion was ignited within me—I loved to put my new-found digital art skills to use whenever I could.

Beginning from my pre-teen years, I'd always found myself volunteering to create flyers, t-shirt designs, and logos—essentially the "graphic designer" disguised as the secretary of whatever student organization I was a part of. For school projects, I'd put in the extra effort to "design" the look and feel of my assignments. I'd eventually divulged and experimented with animation through Macromedia Flash and video editing through Microsoft Movie Maker.
It wasn't until the middle of my sophomore year at the University of Texas at Arlington—aspiring to become a nurse—where I realized that my true passion was in the arts and design.
I made a life-changing switch and later earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Visual Communications in 2015. Since, I’ve had the privilege to work in a field that I truly feel passionate and fulfilled as a hybrid UX/UI & Visual Designer. I have come to embrace the mentality of designing with purpose and strategic thinking, all with human-centered design in mind. With nearly seven years of design experience under my belt, I’ve worked with B2B & B2C clients of all sizes & have made it my mission to deliver effective and scalable design solutions unique to their needs.
To this day, when I'm not working or addressing other parts of my life, I continuously strive to hone my craft, expand my knowledge, and experiment with different mediums. I genuinely feel like I was born to create.
